Secret Records releases an 180g vinyl featuring a live set of Greatest Hits from the Ex-Georgia Satellites frontman and his sensational band.

Having burst out of the 1980’s with his unique brand of country-tinged rock ‘n’ roll, Dan Baird is no stranger to good time, high-energy song-writing as proved by his acclaimed solo career since 1990. Fronting The Georgia Satellites for the decade of 1980, Baird was at the helm of a band who were not only explosive live but were also able to score a number of chart-bothering hits including ’Battleship Chains’, ‘Open all Night’, ‘Railroad Steel’ and their biggest hit ‘Keep Your Hands To Yourself'.

Proving that southern rock still had a place in popular music, Baird’s 1992 solo debut ‘Love Songs for the Hearing Impaired’ was immediately lauded by press and fans alike including Rolling Stone magazine claiming that "This is how bluesed-up macho rock ought to be served”. Two singles from the album, ‘I Love You Period’ and ‘The On I Am’ both proved to be moderate success and Baird continued on heavily touring and periodically releasing new albums throughout the ‘90’s and 2000’s.

‘Dr. Dixie’s Rollin’ Bones’ is a combination of all the elements mentioned above. Professionally recorded during a raucous gig at JB’s Dudley and featuring an all-encompassing set-list comprised of both his Georgia Satellites and solo career material as well one or two well-placed covers; this is as good a Dan Baird experience as it gets. His band Homemade Sin, featuring alumni of The Georgia Satellites, fire on all fronts providing the perfect rock ‘n’ roll back-drop for the ever entertaining Baird. This is the ultimate, live compilation for fans of all things rock ‘n’ roll.
