Secret Records releases a live CD/DVD of ‘Greatest Hits’ from one of the UK’s seminal post-punk bands.

Having been making waves on the UK music scene since the early 1980s, New Model Army are a musical force to be reckoned with. Combining the ferocity of punk and the art of poetry, their sound and song messages gained them a loyal, cult fan base as well as alienating authorities on both sides of the Atlantic.

NMA’s consistent output of new studio material since 1984 and near-constant tour cycles sealed their reputation as one of Britain’s hardest working bands eventually breaking the UK Album top 20 with 4th album ‘Thunder and Consolation’. By 1998, after a number of Top 40 charted songs and with fan base firmly in place, the band established their own Attack Attack Label continuing their output independently. Throughout their career trajectory a clear statement has been established - that New Model Army’s powerful message and music is most effective when delivered in a live atmosphere; a clear reason as to why Secret Records has to issue the CD/DVD ‘We Love The World’.

Professionally captured and recorded at the legendary London Astoria, this boisterous set features a number of the band’s best loved anthems including Thatcher basher ‘51st State’, the hard-hitting ‘Here Comes The War’ and their highest charting single ‘No Rest’. As well as the full live set included on the DVD is an exclusive interview with frontman Justin Sullivan as well as a band biography and footage from the sound check. Enjoy ‘We Love The World’ as a complete, live overview from one of Britain’s greatest, post-punk offerings.
